What is the technology in IQOS ILUMA?

In previous IQOS devices, the tobacco has been heated by a heating blade, and the HEETS^TM are placed on this heating blade. 

IQOS ILUMA is different: The innovative SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM^TM uses a new technology for tobacco heating, because it works without a heating blade. 

Since the completely new TEREA tobacco sticks, specially developed for IQOS ILUMA, are closed on both sides, no more tobacco falls out of the tobacco sticks: no tobacco residue is left behind and there is no need to clean the holder.*

Due to the completely new technology, IQOS ILUMA is only compatible with TEREA tobacco sticks. HEETS^TM tobacco sticks cannot be used with IQOS ILUMA.
