Bringing your IQOS with you abroad
Now that you’ve made your way through the checks in the airport, it’s time to know how to fly with your IQOS device. This follows air travel rules that are designed with your safety in mind.
IQOS is considered a battery-operated device so it should be treated the same as your laptop or mobile device. This means that it should be in your carry-on and should be scanned at security checks along your travel. And just like conventional cigarettes, IQOS is prohibited from being used in the plane. You may only enjoy your IQOS moments in designated smoking/vaping areas provided in the airports.
Can I bring my IQOS device in all countries?
As much as we would love for IQOS to accompany you in all your travels, IQOS is prohibited in some1, but not limited to, countries/jurisdictions such as: Australia, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Macau, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Norway, Panama, Qatar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Vietnam. So, the next time you fly out, make sure to double check the tobacco regulations they have in that country.

Since IQOS does not burn tobacco and just heats it up, it does not generate smoke nor secondhand smoke. So, the use of IQOS indoors may be tolerable in terms of smell and smoke. Of course, this should follow relevant laws, ordinances, and the policy of the place you’d like to use your IQOS at.
