TEREA™ are tobacco sticks designed with TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™ technology, specifically made for IQOS ILUMA™ tobacco heating devices. TEREA™ tobacco sticks consist of several components, including the front cover, a stainless steel-coated metal heating element, an airflow chamber, the tobacco part, a protective wrap, a cooling plug, and a filter.

The stainless steel-coated heating element works by heating the tobacco from inside the TEREA™ tobacco stick, and not by burning it. The absence of combustion means that IQOS devices do not produce smoke but create vapor (aerosol). IQOS ILUMA™ tobacco heating will leave significantly less staining on your curtains and furniture than cigarette smoke. Additionally, IQOS ILUMA™ produces less odor that bother people around, and does not produce "tar."

"Tar" is the residue left from smoke after a tobacco product is burned. IQOS does not produce tar because IQOS heats tobacco rather than burning it. IQOS produces vapor (aerosol) that is different from "tar" and emits 95% less harmful chemicals compared to cigarettes.*
