How do I clean my IQOS ORIGINALS?

It’s best to clean your IQOS ORIGINALS device regularly, preferably after each HEETS pack. This will help you get the best tobacco taste. Cleaning should take about 1 minute.
How to clean IQOS ORIGINALS device:
  • Clean the Holder
  • Clean the Blade
  • Clean the Holder cap
  • Finishing touches

How to clean the Holder:
  1. Wait 30+ seconds after using the device so the blade is cool. Remove the Holder cap.
  2. Turn the device upside down and gently tap to release any loose tobacco residue in the heating chamber.
  3. Take the cap off your IQOS Cleaning Tool (rotate the head side/cap with the strap) and check that it’s not bent, warped or dirty.
  4. As smoothly as possible, put the rotating head of the Cleaning Tool straight into the heating chamber without twisting. Stop when it touches the bottom.
  5. Without pushing down, gently twist IQOS Cleaning Tool 2-3 times.
  6. Stop twisting and pull the Tool straight out from the Holder.
  7. Gently tap the Holder and the Cleaning Tool to remove tobacco residuals.

How to clean the heating blade:
  1. Remove the IQOS Cleaning Tool cap (Sweeping Head side/part with protruding pin) and check that it is not bent, warped or dirty.
  2. Line up the cleaning tool with the heating chamber and put it in.
  3. Gently move it left and right three times to gently clean the blade.
  4. Lightly tap the Holder again to remove any remaining residue.

How to clean the Holder cap:
  1. Starting at the top, work your way down the inside of the cap with an IQOS Cleaning Stick.
  2. Clean the bottom of the cap with the sweeping side of the IQOS Cleaning Tool.
  3. Insert the IQOS Cleaning Tool until it touches the bottom of the cap.
  4. Without pushing, gently twist the IQOS Cleaning Tool 2 - 3 times.
  5. Stop twisting and gently tap both the cap and the IQOS Cleaning Tool to remove any remaining tobacco residuals.

The finishing touch:
  1. Insert the IQOS Cleaning Stick straight into the chamber.

  2. Clean the bottom of the heating chamber with a semicircular motion.
  3. Be careful not to push or bump the blade.
  4. Don’t clean the blade itself, just the bottom of the heating chamber.
  5. If something is blocking your IQOS Cleaning Stick, don’t force it. Simply remove the cleaning stick, skip over the blocked area and keep cleaning.
  6. Then clean inside the cap from the bottom to the top with the stick.
  7. Repeat these steps, if needed.

IQOS cleaning tips:
  • Never use water, cleaning agents, solvents, chemicals, volatiles, compressed air or any liquids to clean your IQOS Cleaning Tool or Holder.
  • Make sure you don’t accidentally start heating your device during cleaning (avoid pressing the Holder button).
  • Clean the Holder only with a clean and nondamaged tool.
  • Don’t let the IQOS Cleaning Tool or IQOS Cleaning Sticks hit a hot blade.
  • Don’t attempt to clean the blade itself, just the bottom of the heating chamber.
