There are a variety of different heated tobacco products available – particularly within our IQOS range. In fact, the IQOS ILUMA line has recently launched, and includes a range of devices - including IQOS ILUMA, IQOS ILUMA ONE and IQOS ILUMA PRIME. For all devices from the ILUMA product range, ​​IQOS ILUMA Smartcore Induction Technology heats tobacco instead of burning it to deliver the taste of real tobacco.

What Are the Different Types of Heated Tobacco Products? 

​​IQOS is the #1 tobacco heating system.* At the heart of our most advanced smoke-free products are sophisticated electronic devices that heat specially designed heated tobacco sticks.

The IQOS ILUMA series are our latest heated tobacco devices available in the UK. However, there are a range of other IQOS devices, like the IQOS ORIGINALS DUO. 

There are also two types of IQOS heated tobacco sticks, these being HEETS and TEREA. HEETS utilise patented HeatControl™ Technology. ​IQOS HeatControl™ Technology heats tobacco instead of burning it to deliver the taste of real tobacco. TEREA heated tobacco sticks accompany our all-new IQOS device, IQOS ILUMA, which utilise the SMARTCORE INDUCTION technology to consistently heat tobacco. The IQOS ILUMA has no blade, so there will be no blade breakages. The bladeless design also offers a more seamless and cleaner heated tobacco experience. 

It’s important to use TEREA and HEETS tobacco sticks with the correct device. TEREA is compatible with IQOS ILUMA, but cannot be used with older IQOS generations, like IQOS ORIGINALS DUO - which are compatible with HEETS.
