For anyone who has recently switched to vaping from smoking, there’s likely to be a bit of a learning curve as you get to grips with your new device. With so many different pieces of equipment – from pens to mods – and even more types of e-liquids, it can be difficult to know where to start. Well, that’s where vape starter kits come in.
So, what is a vape pen starter kit? Essentially, it’s a product containing all the basic equipment vapers need to get started, taking away some of the confusion you might be faced with if you’ve just switched to vaping from smoking and aren’t sure what items you need to purchase.
In our guide, we’ll take a look at everything you need to know about vape starter kits, from the different types of equipment included in your kit to the amount of money you can expect to spend.
What do Vape Starter Kits Typically Include?
The specific pieces of equipment included in a vape starter kit vary from brand to brand, but in general, there are a couple of key parts that every manufacturer is going to provide. Of course, you’ll get the device itself, a charger, batteries, and - depending on the specific device you’re purchasing - tanks and coils as well. More often than not, you’ll also get a few bottles of e-liquid. This should give you the opportunity to find an e-liquid that suits your taste and nicotine preferences.
Furthermore, your kit is sure to come with instructions and documentation to help you get started.
How Much Do They Cost?
Just as the content of vape starter kits is likely to vary, there are a range of different price points depending on the brand you choose. Simple pen-style vape starter kits are likely to cost between £10 and £20. By contrast, more advanced kits may run to £60 or more. Of course, there are plenty of kits that are priced somewhere in the middle. For £30-50, you should be able to get a mid-range kit that includes everything you need. It’s also worth remembering that it’s usually better value to purchase a starter kit than it would be to buy each item separately.
Do I Need Anything Else?
Your starter kit should contain pretty much everything you need. However, there are a few other supplies you may want to buy for additional functionality. For example, you may decide to invest in a couple of inexpensive microfibre cloths to help clean your device. If you know that you’re going to be out and about with your vape on a regular basis, a portable charger is also likely to be a shrewd investment. For certain vape devices, spare coils and batteries may also be worth getting, although they’re not always necessary.
Other than that, you’re good to go. Everything included in a vape starter kit is there for a reason, and with such a wide range of kits available, you’re sure to find one that includes everything you need to make the switch from cigarettes to a less harmful alternative!
