How to protect your IQOS device from water damage: Tips to keep your device safe

Understanding the risks: IQOS and water don’t mix

While the concept of a waterproof IQOS sounds appealing, most models are not designed to get wet or come into contact with water.

Quick response if IQOS fell in water

If the worst happens and your IQOS falls in water or gets wet, acting quickly is crucial. Remove it from the water immediately and turn it off if possible.

Do not attempt to turn it on or charge it while wet but leave it to dry away from heat sources or direct sunlight. To avoid damaging it further, do not place external objects such as clothes or tissues inside the device.

Once you are satisfied that the device has dried completely, try switching it on to check if it’s still working.

Please refer to your Safety Warnings and Instructions manual which comes with every IQOS ILUMA device for further advice. Contact IQOS support for further support.

Cleaning IQOS with water: can it be done?

You might be wondering whether it is possible to clean your IQOS device with water. As they are electronic devices, it is not recommended to do so.

In fact, IQOS models risk damage if in contact with water and it is important to clean them using only IQOS cleaning accessories.

However, some device components can be cleaned with water. All silicone covers can also be washed under running water. The other covers are available for all IQOS or IQOS ILUMA models, can instead be cleaned with a wet cloth. Always remember to place clean accessories on your IQOS device only when completely dry.

Please refer to the IQOS Safety Warnings and Instruction manuals if you require further information.
