Terms & Conditions

I. GENERAL

1. The BALIK BLENDS Program with details provided in Sections II and III below (“Program”) is open to legal age smokers or users of other nicotine-containing products who are at least 18 years old (as of the date of his/her participation in the Program) and above residing in the Philippines (“Customer”), and who otherwise wish to continue to use tobacco or nicotine containing products.

2. The Program can be availed at identified retailers who have been selected by PMFTC to be the “participating retailers” and are officially selling BLENDS and/or has a BONDS activation booths found at the retailer’s store location. These retailers are customers of the PMFTC Direct Selling & Distribution Team. This Offer is being carried out by Activ Asia Inc, (“AAI”), an authorized distributor of PMFTC products.

3. PMFTC/AAI has the sole discretion to shorten or extend the program period if circumstances so warrant.

4. PMFTC/AAI reserves the right to modify, change, or revise the rules and mechanics of the Program.

5. Customers using multiple IQOS.com accounts to participate in the Program are disqualified. PMFTC/AAI reserves the right to disqualify any Customer if there is any evidence of fraud or irregularities in his/her participation in the Program.

6. PMFTC/AAI reserves the right to hold, suspend or block a Customer’s IQOS.com account due to suspicious, fraudulent or illegal activity.

7. PMFTC/AAI reserves the right to cancel, amend, or revoke these terms and conditions without notice in the event of fraudulent activity, cheating, a security breach or any anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation, an event or disturbance outside of PMFTC’s control such as acts of God, civil or military events, catastrophes, technical issues/connectivity, pandemic or war. Any changes to the Offer will be announced accordingly.

9. By participating in the Program, Customer confirms his/her consent to process his/her personal data provided as part of the Program. Details of such processing are described in Philip Morris International’s (PMI) Consumer Privacy Notice found at https://www.pmiprivacy.com/en/consumer and AAI’s Data Privacy Consent Policy.

II. MECHANICS

1. The Balik BLENDS Program is a waste management initiative that allows you to dispose used BLENDS sticks responsibly at selected participating retailers. The program will manage proper disposal of used BLENDS sticks and eventually recycle it into raw materials that will be converted into sustainable products.

2. The Customer who purchases BLENDS at any selected participating retailer is eligible to participate in the Program.

3. Upon purchase of BLENDS, the Customer is given a resealable pouch to be used for disposal of used BLENDS sticks. The resealable pouch can contain up to 20 used BLENDS sticks. The Customer is to provide basic information in the form attached to the resealable pouch.

4. Once the Customer has collected 20 used BLENDS sticks in the resealable pouch, the Customer returns the pouch containing the 20 used BLENDS sticks to the same selected participating retailer where the Customer originally purchased the BLENDS sticks.

5. The selected participating retailer validates the information provided by the Customer and the receipt of the resealable pouch. Once validated, the Customer is entitled to 5 free BLENDS sticks of their choice of variant, subject to its availability in the selected participating store.

6. Participation in the program can be repeated as long as the Customer continues to buy BLENDS at selected participating retailers.

7. Only used BLENDS sticks are allowed to be disposed and collected in the resealable pouch. Failure to comply would forfeit the Customer of the 5 free BLENDS sticks.

8. The Customer cannot exchange the 5 free BLENDS for cash and/or other goods from the selected participating retailer. The Customer cannot demand the selected participating retailers, PMFTC and/or AAI for payment of the returned used BLENDS sticks

9. PMFTC and/or AAI reserves the right to verify the Customer’s and his/her IQOS device eligibility in the Program and disqualify any Customer if there is any evidence of fraud or irregularities in his/her participation in the Program.

10. During the participation in the Program and any transaction related to it, the Customer will be subject to age verification process wherein he/she will be requested to submit a valid Government Issued ID before items can be purchased and/or delivered to the Customer. The following Government Issued IDs are valid as proof of age: Passport, Alien Certificate of Registration, Driver's License, Firearms License, NBI Clearance Card, Philhealth ID, Postal ID, PRC ID, SSS ID, TIN ID, Unified Multi-Purpose ID or Voter's ID.

III. OTHERS

1. All decisions of PMFTC and/or AAI and its agents in all matters relating to the interpretation and implementation of this mechanics are final, and no objections and/or appeals thereon will be entertained.

2. Customers in the Program agree and confirm the following:

that you are a legal-age smoker at least 18 years old or above as of the date of his/her participation in the Program;
that you have read and understood the terms and conditions detailed herein;
that you agree to follow the applicable mechanics of the Program;
that you agree to assume all such risks, foreseeable or otherwise, and hereby release and discharge PMFTC and/or AAI, its affiliates and all other persons and entities connected with the Program from any liability for, or any claims that may arise in respect of, any and all property losses and/or injuries whatsoever that you may sustain, no matter how any such property losses and/or injuries are caused.

4. PMFTC will not be liable to the Customer for any taxes, costs, liabilities or expenses that may arise from this Offer.
